Herencia is a one-of-one wearable artwork constructed from an eclectic collection of reclaimed lace, crochet, and embroidered textiles. Individual pieces in varying shades of ivory, cream, and warm beige are carefully composed across the body, allowing differences in pattern, texture, age, and craftsmanship to remain visible rather than disguising their origins.
The fitted mini silhouette gives way to a dramatic asymmetrical cascading panel, pieced together from contrasting textiles and extending toward the floor. Layered lace across the shoulders and bodice creates dimension and movement, while open-weave sections allow glimpses of the body beneath.
Rather than asking reclaimed materials to become uniform, Herencia celebrates what each piece carries forward - bringing fragments of different histories together to create something entirely new.
