Renacida is a one-of-one floor-length denim trench handcrafted from reclaimed denim garments and transformed into wearable art. Constructed through an intuitive patchwork of contrasting washes, exposed seams, original pockets, distressed details, and raw edges, the piece allows traces of each garment’s former life to remain visible within its new form.
The dramatic, sweeping silhouette is balanced by a removable denim belt that can be used to define the waist or left open for an oversized, flowing fit. An original hand-carved linoleum print by Marina Henshaw is incorporated into the back using reclaimed denim as its canvas, making the artwork an integral part of the garment itself.
